Our motive and mission
is not just to bring up a generation of young listeners who are aware of what is happening in the world, but to make sure they are better informed about the how and why of the story.
History and nuance is often lost due to the speed and flurry of daily news reportage. We want children to understand and appreciate why no story is ever simple and how one event or person can be seen and told from different perspectives. From a perspective that leans in to what they are learning at school and makes the connection between the school and the world around them.
We want the future citizens of the world to ask questions, to wonder aloud, to dig deeper and to never take everything at face value. We want them to learn to withhold judgement, to make informed choices and become responsible sources of information themselves.

Every week, we pick a event, a person or a breakthrough that matters. We identify the subject that gives you the best lens to understand it. Then we build an episode — and a free classroom resource — around that lens.
The news becomes more meaningful. The subject becomes more real. And school starts to feel a little less separate from the world outside the window.

We don't avoid complexity. We don't take political sides. We ask questions rather than give answers — because the point isn't to tell children what to think. It's to give them better ways of thinking.
